More tracing later and it seems it was trying to use another url for the login, so back to the broadband webapp settings and I finally enabled this: I then installed Brave Browser which got the correct login page to popup but it would time out. That got the login link to go to the nordvpn site however it wasn't prompting me to login as it was going to the download page in chrome.
